- Director, Performance Nutrition
Patrice Amore serves as the Director of Performance Nutrition for Army West Point Athletics, overseeing nutrition support for Football, Men’s Basketball, Hockey, Women’s Lacrosse, Men’s Lacrosse, Men’s Soccer, Track and Field, Cross Country, Swim and Dive, Tennis, Golf, Gymnastics, and Rifle. She leads department-wide fueling initiatives, individualized counseling, team education, and performance-driven nutrition strategies that enhance cadet-athlete health, recovery, and competitive readiness.
Amore brings 6.5 years of experience in sports nutrition, most recently serving as the Director of Nutrition at Georgetown University and previously as a Sports Nutrition Fellow at the University of Connecticut. Before transitioning into collegiate athletics, she spent three years working in inpatient and outpatient hospital settings, specializing in heart disease, kidney disease, oncology, diabetes, eating disorders, bariatric surgery, and weight management.
She has also developed and taught community-based nutrition programs, including a 10-week healthy lifestyle course and a 4-week sports nutrition course for beginner runners at the YMCA of Greater Pawtucket. Additionally, she delivered sports nutrition education to Rhode Island National Guard trainees preparing for basic training.
A Registered Dietitian, Amore is a member of the American Sports & Performance Dietitians Association (ASPDA). She earned her Master’s degree from the College of Saint Elizabeth and her Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition from the University of Rhode Island. She also completed a dietetic internship with the New York Jets in 2019.
Originally from Johnston, Rhode Island, Amore resides with her husband, Enrico Picozza Jr., whom she married in June 2026.
