A voice familiar to Army fans around the world, Rich DeMarco is in his 23rd year with the Army Athletic Association, where he serves as the radio play-by-play voice of Army football and men's basketball. He also hosts Army's weekly football radio show and has called play-by-play for Black Knights baseball and lacrosse.
During his career at West Point, DeMarco has been behind the microphone for eight Army football bowl games, and has called NCAA Tournament action in women's basketball, baseball and lacrosse. He has also played a leading role in the growth of Army's digital and multimedia presence, helping launch the academy's audio and video streaming initiatives and overseeing multimedia content for Army's official website. His marketing and community outreach efforts include Coaches Caravans, enhanced gameday experiences and initiatives to increase attendance among youth teams and Scout groups. From 2009-12, Army's marketing department earned eight NACMA "Best Of" Awards and three consecutive NCAA "Pack the House" honors.
DeMarco's voice has also reached a national and international audience through EA Sports' College Football video game series, where he serves as the game's public address voice, bringing his stadium announcing style to millions of players worldwide.
Before joining Army, DeMarco was the associate sports director and a nightly talk-show host at WCTC Radio in New Brunswick, N.J., and a member of the Rutgers Radio Network. He called play-by-play for Rutgers' nationally ranked women's basketball team, including the Scarlet Knights' 2003 and 2004 NCAA Tournament appearances, and served as a sideline reporter and pregame/postgame host for Rutgers football and men's basketball.
Earlier in his career, DeMarco worked at WFAN in New York City and WGHT Radio in Pompton Lakes, N.J., and held game-day media and public relations positions with Major League Soccer's New York/New Jersey MetroStars and the Arena Football League's New Jersey Red Dogs and New York CityHawks. His professional sports experience included the 1996 and 1997 MLS All-Star Games and Arena Bowl XI.
DeMarco has received multiple broadcasting honors from the New Jersey Associated Press Broadcasters Association and the New Jersey Broadcasters Association for sports programming and news coverage.
A 1998 graduate of Rutgers University, DeMarco earned degrees in Journalism/Mass Media and Communication. While at Rutgers, he served as sports director at the university's student radio station, WRSU, and was the station's lead play-by-play announcer for football, men's and women's basketball, baseball, lacrosse and soccer. He was inducted into the WRSU Hall of Fame in May 2026.
DeMarco and his wife, Kate, are the parents of twin sons, Matthew and Reed.
