Stephanie Hanuman joined Army West Point Athletics in November 2021 and serves as the Associate Athletics Director, Human Resources. As the head of Human Resources and a member of the Executive Team, she serves as a strategic advisor to senior leadership, leading the organization's people strategy and overseeing the full scope of the Human Resources function. Stephanie is responsible for employee relations, organizational development, compensation and benefits, talent management, policy development, regulatory compliance, performance management, and employee engagement. She guides complex workforce matters with sound judgment and discretion while fostering a culture that supports organizational excellence and an exceptional employee experience.

Promoted to the Executive Staff in March 2023, Stephanie contributes to the department’s broader strategic initiatives, supporting the execution of the Fruits of Victory Strategic Plan and advancing priorities that strengthen the organization’s mission, vision, and culture.

Stephanie previously served as the Sport Administrator for the Army West Point Softball program during the 2024–25 and 2025–26 academic years, providing strategic oversight and departmental support to the program.

Stephanie was recognized as a finalist for the 2023 Teamwork Online Best Sports Boss Award and received the Army West Point Athletics 2024 Team Spirit Award in recognition of her leadership, collaboration, and commitment to fostering a positive workplace culture.

Before joining Army West Point Athletics, Stephanie built a diverse professional background across the luxury retail, banking, and financial services industries, developing expertise in leadership, operations, client service, and business strategy.

She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Corporate Communication with a minor in Law from Baruch College and holds an Inclusive Leader Certificate from Return on Inclusion. Stephanie is bilingual in English and Spanish.

A proud New Yorker, Stephanie resides in Chester, New York, with her husband, Andrew. Outside of work, she is an avid outdoor enthusiast who enjoys kayaking, paddleboarding, and spending time on the lake. A passionate animal lover, she shares her home with an American Akita, Great Pyrenees, Tibetan Mastiff, one Siberian cat, and two mixed-breed cats.
