Princeton Hosts Women’s Soccer Wednesday

WEST POINT, N.Y. – The Army West Point women's soccer team plays its final non-conference match of the season on Wednesday evening when it plays at Princeton. Kickoff from Roberts Stadium is 7 p.m.
After blanking Lehigh 2-0 on Saturday night, Army looks to win two straight games for the first time in 2015. Katie Holder and Clare Shea each scored for the Black Knights in the win to inflate their season totals to five and two goals, respectively. Goalkeeper Jordan Cassalia registered her second shutout of the year and lowered her goals-against average to 1.48 with four saves against the Mountain Hawks. Army is 4-7-1 on the year and Holder has a point in the last three games.
The Tigers have a 7-3 overall record in 2015 and have won five straight matches, including overtime victories over No. 23 William & Mary and at Dartmouth this past weekend. Princeton opened the year with wins over Howard and Fordham, lost three in-a-row, and then began its current streak with a 3-1 win at Villanova. During the run of wins, Princeton has outscored its opponents 15-5.
Tyler Lussi has a team-high 19 points on eight goals and three assists and Mimi Asom has contributed six goals and three assists. Asom has been named the Ivy League Women's Soccer Rookie of the Week each of the past three weeks. Natalie Larkin has found the back of the net four times, Vanessa Gregoire has two goals and five others have one goal each. In net, Hannah Winner has played all 10 contests and owns a 1.43 goals-against average. Her lone shutout came in the 3-0 Ivy-League opening win versus Yale on Sept. 26.
In seven all-time meetings, Army leads the series 4-3. Princeton has won the last two contests, in 2013 and 2014, by identical 3-0 margins. The Black Knights are playing their third Ivy League opponent of the season after losing one-goal decisions versus Harvard and Columbia.
