- Army had a persistent attack, scoring runs in three of the next five innings.

- After entering the game, Poirier allowed just three base runners throughout the final 5.1 innings of the game for the Crusaders.
- Following a quiet two innings, the Army bats came to life in the bottom of the sixth which started with back-to-back doubles by Grey and Poirier.
- Yoo slapped a single through the middle and advanced to second on the throw to put ducks on the pond for freshman Lacey Swafford. The Mayo, Fla., native slashed a two-run single to right field over the head of the Crusaders' second baseman that gave Army its first lead of the ballgame.
