Black Knights Prepare for Trip to Boston U.

WEST POINT, N.Y. – The Army West Point softball team is on the road again this weekend as the Black Knights take on Boston University in a three-game series at the BU Softball Field.
A doubleheader is planned for Saturday, while Sunday will house the single game. First pitch for both days is slated for noon.
The series is a rematch of last season's Patriot League Championship, in which Boston U. came away with the title.

ARMY (27-12, 7-2 Patriot League)
• Army enters the weekend with an 8-2 advantage in the all-time series against the Terriers, dating back to 1990.
• Despite losing Wednesday at Fairfield, the Black Knights have won 13 of their last 16 games.
• Army currently sits second in the Patriot League, one game behind Lehigh who is 8-1 in league play.
• Four of the top five league-leaders in walks play at West Point, including Alee Rashenskas who has the most with 20.

• Moriah Connolly leads the league with 31 runs scored, while her 26 stolen bases is twice as many as anyone else in the league.
• Connolly sports the best average on BU at .355 (38-for-107) with a .425 on-base percentage.
• The Terriers also have two of the top sluggers in the league as Alex Heinen has the most home runs with six and Gabi Martinez's four are tied for second.
• In the circle, Kali Magane has started 14 games, going 6-8 over that stretch with a 3.87 ERA.
• Magane has thrown six complete games, two shutouts in 92.1 innings, with an even 36:36 strikeout-to-walk ratio.
