Black Knights Embark for Midweek Tilt at Siena

WEST POINT, N.Y. – The Army West Point softball team will play its final two regular season games of the 2017 season at Siena on Thursday with the doubleheader beginning at 3 p.m.

ARMY (33-19, 10-8 Patriot League)
• Army is 9-5-1 in the all-time series with Siena, dating back to their first meeting in 1981.
• The two sides split last season's doubleheader with the Saints taking game one, 7-6, and the Black Knights responding with a 5-0 shutout.
• These are the final games of the regular season for Army before it begins the Patriot League tournament next week.
• Ashley Yoo leads the Black Knights offensively with an average of .351 and 46 hits.
• Rookie Emily Ballesteros continues to pace the Cadets with her power, having recorded the most extra-base hits (14) and runs batted in (30). She is also tied for the team-lead in doubles (9) and triples (3).

• Siena is on a six-game winning streak after taking doubleheaders from Sacred Heart, Rider and Monmouth.
• The Saints currently rank second in the MAAC with an opportunity to take the No. 1 seed into the conference tournament in this weekend's series at Niagara.
• Madysen Cossack leads the squad in a number of offensive categories, including average (.394), at-bats (127), runs scored (26), hits (50), doubles (13), home runs (9), RBI (41), total bases (90), slugging percentage (.709) and on-base percentage.
• In the circle, Lauren Butts and Maddie McMahon have been the primary options for Siena, tossing 107.2 and 101.0 innings, respectively.
• Butts sports a team-low 3.32 ERA paired with a 10-10 record with 10 complete games.
• McMahon is 8-9 on the year with six complete games and has the most strikeouts with 92.
