HILLBURN, N.Y. – The Army West Point sprint football team rolled to a 3-0 start with a 49-13 win over St. Thomas Aquinas on Friday night.

A slow moving first quarter saw Army only up 7-0. STAC would go on to tie the game at 7-7. After that the Black Knights took over.

Kyle West found Ben Deloit from five yards out to make it a 14-7 ball game. Just three minutes later, West had Devon Brown from 27 yards out to go up 21-7. Right before the half West threw for his fourth touchdown pass of the half to his fourth different receiver., finding Parker Williams from 58 yards out to go into the half up 28-7.

West opened the second half by finding Scott Belveal for his second touchdown of the night. Eight minutes later West had a sixth touchdown pass, this time to Henry Beck from 27 yards out. STAC scored a touchdown in the fourth to make it 42-13 after the PAT was blocked.

Carson McFadden came in for the second half of the third quarter and the fourth quarter, getting Army on the board once more with a four yard run.

The Black Knights racked up 497 total yards of offense and 25 total first downs. Kyle West threw 340 yards and six touchdowns, he added 10 more yards on the ground.

Through three games the Black Knights are outscoring opponents 101-16. They are now at home for three straight games with Caldwell up first on Oct. 18.
