Men’s Rugby Graduate Lucas Pattinson Named to USA Rugby Sevens Player Pool

GLENDALE, Colo. – Army West Point men's rugby Class of 2024 graduate Lucas Pattinson has been named to the USA Men's Eagles Sevens Player Pool for the 2026 season.
Pattinson joins the 18-man squad who will be eligible for selection for the upcoming SVNS 2 Series and the SVNS World Championships.
The San Juan Capistrano, Calif. native clinched his appointment through the USA Rugby High Performance Pathways when he first earned an invite to the 2019 Men's U18s camp.
Pattinson scored a pair of tries for Army in his senior campaign in 2023-24. Since graduating and commissioning as an infantry officer, the 1LT has been a participant in the US Army's World Class Athlete Program, allowing top-ranked soldier-athletes to perform at the international level.
With USA Rugby, Pattinson was a part of USA U23 RugbyTown 7s in 2024, and helped lead the Black Knights to their D1A national title in 2021-22.
