Flanders, Christiana Named in Patriot League Softball Weekly Honors

BETHLEHEM, Pa. — Katelyn Flanders and Annie Christiana were both named to Patriot League Player of the Week awards on Monday.
Flanders earned Pitcher of the Week honors while Annie Christiana was named Rookie of the Week for the second consecutive week.
Katelyn Flanders went 2-1 on the week, including a 2-0 record against Lehigh. The sophomore posted a 0.00 ERA, allowing one unearned run in 17.2 innings. She recorded 14 strikeouts across three appearances, with a season-high of 10 strikeouts against Albany.
Annie Christiana earns her second straight Rookie of the Week honor after totaling seven hits, the second most on the team, in the Black Knights' 4-1 week. In the Black Knights' series sweep against Lehigh, the rookie went 5-for-11 with one double, one RBI and two runs scored.
Junior Ashton White also received an honorable mention. White led the Black Knights in hitting last week, going 9-for-20, with two doubles and two RBIs in the Black Knights' 4-1 week, which included a sweep against Lehigh in the opening weekend of League play.
Flanders and Christiana will return to the diamond on Wednesday as the Black Knights take on the Rider University Broncos in a doubleheader. The first pitch for both games is set for 3 p.m. and 5 p.m., with both games airing live on ESPN+.
