WORCESTER, Mass. – Following a 15-5 win in its 2025 Patriot league opener against Lafayette last week, No. 5 Army West Point men's lacrosse (5-0, 1-0 Patriot League) will hit the road for their next league matchup Saturday, March 8 at Holy Cross.
LAST TIME OUT
-Army earned its first Patriot League victory of the season with a decisive 15-5 win over Lafayette.
-The Leopards scored first but the Black Knights soon found their stride and opened up a 9-3 lead by halftime.
-Army held the Leopards to just 17 shots on goal over the contest while racking up 30 shots on goal of its own, led by Gunnar Fellows with eight.
A WIN WOULD
-Give Army its 35th win over Holy Cross. Army last defeated the Crusaders 18-8 in 2024.
-Give Army a 6-0 start to the season for the second time since 1984.

Veteran Leadership: Army's upperclassmen led the way at Michie Stadium, accounting for more than half of the team's goals in the win over Lafayette. Junior Gunnar Fellows led the way with a tied-for-team-high four goals, followed by Evan Plunkett with three and Jackson Eicher with two.
Patriot League Honors: Freshman Brayden Fountain earned his second consecutive Patriot League Player of the Week title. Fountain earned Rookie of the Week honors, while Jackson Eicher and Christian received an honorable mention for his standout performance against the Bears.
National Leaderboard: The Black Knights are making their mark on the national leaderboard with Sean Byrne holding the top spot in save percentage (0.737) and goals-against average (4.44), Christian Fournier standing first overall in caused turnovers per game (3.50), and Jackson Eicher tied for fourth in points per game (5.60).
Series History: The Black Knights hold a 34-1 all-time advantage over Holy Cross dating back to their first meeting in 1991 - a 24-6 win for Army.
