WEST POINT, N.Y. – Army West Point baseball's series finale got off to a late start Sunday due to passing rain showers in the Hudson Valley, but despite the 8-0 loss, the Black Knights clinched a spot in the 2026 Patriot League Baseball Championships.

Â
Mark Abell followed in relief and tied a career-high of five strikeouts over 3.2 innings, while allowing a pair of runs. Jakob Vanderhave picked up four outs out of the bullpen and allowed a pair of unearned runs before Walker Calvo closed Army's day on the mound with a scoreless ninth inning.
