Elizabeth Caccavale joined the Army West Point Athletic Association in March of 2023 as an Athletic Trainer, primarily working with the women’s rugby program.
Prior to her arrival at West Point, Caccavale was a seasonal athletic trainer at the United States Naval Academy. She worked primarily with the women’s basketball and men’s lightweight rowing programs to provide prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation of injuries. Additionally, she provided auxiliary care for teams including wrestling, ice hockey, football, and rugby.
Originally from Northport, New York, Caccavale earned her Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training from The University of Alabama in 2022. In her undergraduate studies, she completed clinical rotations with the football, swimming and diving, tennis, and cheer programs at Alabama.
Caccavale is a certified athletic trainer through the Board of Certification and a member of the National Athletic Trainer’s Association. She is certified in Mental Health First Aid through the National Council for Mental Wellbeing, and CPR/AED certified through the American Red Cross
