- Army tied things up at 4-4 in the second inning when Blake Ledoux sparked a rally with a leadoff single through the right side. Josh White followed suit with a walk to place two runners on before Drake Titus converted on a sacrifice bunt to shift both runners into scoring position. During the next at bat Ledoux scored thanks to a wild pitch. White advanced to third on the play as well. Hurtubise then singled to center field to score White for Army's third run of the game. Hurtubise stole second before a Walden groundout shifted him to third. Giachin brought him home one batter later with a single up the middle to knot the score.
- The Mountain Hawks broke the 4-4 deadlock with two runs on one hit in the top of the fourth. Lehigh again used a two-out rally to pull in front 6-4.
- Army quickly answered in the bottom half of the frame when Walden went yard with one out. His blast brought home Hurtubise who had earned a walk during the previous at bat.
- Unfortunately, the visitors posted seven unanswered runs in the remaining three innings to take the 13-6 victory.

- The Black Knights then completely broke the game open with four big runs in the sixth. A highlight during that frame was Simoes' two-run shot over the left field fence.
