Men’s Basketball Cruises to Win Over Maritime

WEST POINT, N.Y. – The Army West Point Men's Basketball team (4-3, 0-0) was victorious over D-III SUNY Maritime College (4-1) on Tuesday night, 91-52.
Senior F AJ Allenspach led the way for the Black Knights securing a double-double, scoring a career-high 20 points, shooting an efficient 8-10 from the floor and logging 12 rebounds.
It was Allenspach's second consecutive double-double.
Josh Scovens (16 points), Blake Barker (15 points), and Jalen Rucker (12 points) were also in double digits.
As a team, Army shot 53.1% from the floor scoring 91 points, its second time eclipsing over 90 points in a game this season.
Army scored 51 in the first half and took a 13-point lead into the break, 51-38. Army's defense stepped up in the second half, limiting the Privateers to just 14 points. Army won the second half, 40-14 on its way to a 39-point win to get back into the win column.
Army will be back in action next Tuesday night, Dec. 3 at Le Moyne with tip off slated for 7pm.
