WEST POINT, N.Y. – Army West Point hockey and head coach Zach McKelvie announced the full schedule for the 2025-26 campaign on Wednesday afternoon.
The 2025-26 schedule totals 34 games with 26 Atlantic Hockey America (AHA) contests and 17 home games at Tate Rink.
The Black Knights will face fellow service academy Air Force four times, first hosting the Falcons on November 21 and 23 before making the trip to Colorado Springs on February 20-21. Army will also take on the Royal Military College of Canada at Tate Rink as it looks to retain the Challenge Trophy on Saturday, January 24.
Army will open its season for the fourth consecutive year with a non-conference matchup against Union College. After an exhibition game against LIU at Tate Rink on October 3rd, the Black Knights will make the trip to Schenectady on October 4th to take part in the first contest in the Garnet Chargers' new arena.
The Black Knights will then face non-conference opponent Northeastern (Oct. 10) on the road before welcoming their first opponent of the 2025-26 to Tate Rink as Stonehill comes to West Point on October 12th.
Army will then face AHA opponents Canisius and Holy Cross on October 14th and October 24-25th respectively. The Black Knights will conclude their first series with Canisius in Buffalo on November 1st before splitting a weekend series against Bentley — first in Waltham, Mass., on November 7, then at Tate Rink on November 9."
A road trip to take on Niagara over November 14-15 preludes a four-game homestand against Air Force (Nov. 21 & 23), Bentley (Nov. 25), and Massachusetts (Nov. 29).
The Black Knights will compete on the road for the month of December, first taking on AHA opponent Sacred Heart on December 5-6 before facing non-conference opponents Dartmouth (Dec. 12), Vermont (Dec. 13), and LIU (Dec. 28) to close out 2025.
As the calendar year changes over into 2026, Army returns to action at Tate Rink on January 2nd as they welcome Northeastern to West Point before hitting the road once more to face Mercyhurst in Erie, Pa., for their first conference matchup of the new year over January 9-10.
The Black Knights return to the banks of the Hudson January 16-17 to take on AHA opponent Robert Morris before welcoming the Royal Military College of Canada to West Point for the latest edition of the Challenge Trophy, which the Black Knights most recently claimed in 2024-25 with a 3–2 win in Kingston, Ontario.
Army will travel to Worcester, Mass., to face Holy Cross for the second time (Jan. 30-31) before welcoming RIT to West Point for an AHA contest over February 6-7.
Army's final road games of the regular season follow in mid-February as the Black Knights travel to Bentley for the second time before heading to Colorado to take on Air Force in the Falcons' home arena.
The Black Knights return to Tate Rink for their final series of the regular season as Sacred Heart makes the trip to West Point for a pair of games on February 27-28.
As postseason play begins in March, the Atlantic Hockey America Tournament begins with single-game first-round matchups on Tuesday, March 3, followed by best-of-three quarterfinal series set for March 6-8. Best-of-three semifinal series will follow over March 13-15, with the Championship game set for March 21.
