Baseball Takes Series at Lehigh

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – On an Easter Sunday to decide the series, Army West Point Baseball came from behind to defeat the Lehigh Mountain Hawks 6-4 at Legacy Park.
Andrew Berg tossed four relief innings and earned the win, capping a weekend where Army's arms surrendered just six combined runs in the series, with only four earned. Berg struck out four on the afternoon.
The sophomore followed a five-inning, five-strikeout outing from senior Mike Ruggieri, who allowed two runs, one earned.
Army is now 14-13 overall and 5-2 in the Patriot League.
Chris Barr singled Derek Berg from second base in the game's second at-bat to put Army ahead 1-0.
The Mountain Hawks would tie the game in the fourth and take a lead in the fifth.
Braden Golinski would tie the contest back up in the sixth, on a single up the middle to bring Barr home.
Derek Berg would double in the seventh to give Army a 3-2 lead, before Justin Lehman singled with the bases loaded to stretch the Black Knight lead to three in the eighth.
Parker would create additional late separation with an RBI double in the ninth. Lehigh got within a pair of runs in the final frame, but grounded into a double play to end the game.

2-for-4: Barr, Schreck and Coleson Titus were each 2-for-4. Golinski meanwhile went 2-for-5.
17.2: Starting pitching went a combined 17.2 innings across the series for Army, with just two earned runs allowed.
