Baseball Takes Series at Lehigh

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – On an Easter Sunday to decide the series, Army West Point Baseball came from behind to defeat the Lehigh Mountain Hawks 6-4 at Legacy Park.Â

Andrew Berg tossed four relief innings and earned the win, capping a weekend where Army's arms surrendered just six combined runs in the series, with only four earned. Berg struck out four on the afternoon.Â

The sophomore followed a five-inning, five-strikeout outing from senior Mike Ruggieri, who allowed two runs, one earned.Â

Army is now 14-13 overall and 5-2 in the Patriot League.Â

Chris Barr singled Derek Berg from second base in the game's second at-bat to put Army ahead 1-0.

The Mountain Hawks would tie the game in the fourth and take a lead in the fifth.

Braden Golinski would tie the contest back up in the sixth, on a single up the middle to bring Barr home.
